The concept of the of the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre has been developed by the North Burnett Regional Council in association with the RM Williams family to promote the unique bush culture and history of the local area and the seminal and unique influence of RM Williams on that culture. It will also seek to develop educational opportunities for local residents and visitors to the Centre and the local area. The Centre will have a specific focus on youth and the indigenous population.

Situated on the A3 highway at Eidsvold the Centre seeks to provide an important tourist attraction and information as well as a significant youth and adult vocational education facility.

Stage 1 of the Centre sees two rooms one showcasing local history and bush culture with a range of interactive and static displays with the other being a multi-purpose and flexible educational facility with a wet area designed for a range of activities.

The Centre seeks to become a dynamic educational facility offering a broad range of programs and training options commensurate with the community’s expressed wants and needs. The Centre also seeks to attract tourists to its interpretive centre to gain an appreciation of artefacts, displays and other demonstrations of the local bush culture.

Stage 2 of the centre sees aboriginal artefacts and culture in the form of a bora ring, slab hut (formerly used by indigenous stockmen) and a lemon tree.  These displays will be in close proximity to the centre and will form part of its display.

The official opening of the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre was held on Saturday, 23 October 2010.
