How You Can Help Overview

The Centre is actively seeking artefacts  representative of local culture and history for display in the Centre. The Centre has acquired exclusive rights to a number of photographs of RM Williams in traditional poses and is seeking to supplement these with other representations of local bush culture for the Interpretative Centre. A curatorial policy will be developed by the soon to be appointed Centre Manager. It is believed that photographs, oral histories, examples of bush craft, local art and similar objects would be of interest to the Centre.

It is also intended  to establish a “Friends of RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre” group comprised of local residents who may be in a position to assist the centre in a range of ways including assistance with recording and registering artefacts as described above, volunteer work, clerical assistance and other support that may arise from time to time.

The Centre will be commissioning interviews of local notable people to support photographic displays as part of the interactive elements of the interpretive section. The centre will also be seeking feedback from the local community as to educational programs that are likely to meet a need of or receive support from the local community.
