Local Community

Eidsvold is a neat and tidy town with beautiful parks and gardens.  The friendly community of approximately 450 people enjoy the many facilities available including swimming pool, bowls club, showground and sporting fields.

Located just two hours by road west of Bundaberg, Eidsvold is primarily based on beef and timber production with a diversified range of other industries including small crops, paulownia forests and siltstone mining.

While visiting the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre be sure to include on your list a trip to Wuruma Dam noted for its beautiful views and as a venue for fishing and watersports, the historical complex with a fine collection of historic buildings, bottles, rocks, gems and machinery and Archer Homestead, the home of the pioneering settlers resting on the banks of the Burnett River – just as it was over 100 years ago.
